A bit more on industry standards
Exactly 6 months ago, I wrote a quick post about Virgin Trains blaming the shocking design of a PDF ticket on it being an ‘industry standard’. In that post I mentioned, briefly, the impact this could have on a brand. That comment seemed to catch people’s attention more than I’d expected, so I thought I should probably take the time to expand on it a bit.

An industry standard that works for nobody
Because I’m not rich or glamorous enough to have someone to do these things for me, I went about making my travel arrangements, and once booked I downloaded my train tickets – and this is what I was faced with.
