A bit more on industry standards

Exactly 6 months ago, I wrote a quick post about Virgin Trains blaming the shocking design of a PDF ticket on it being an ‘industry standard’. In that post I mentioned, briefly, the impact this could have on a brand. That comment seemed to catch people’s attention more than I’d expected, so I thought I should probably take the time to expand on it a bit.
