Less Independent

The Independent newspaper announced earlier this week that it was launching a new, shorter version of its daily paper, called i. “We are creating a newspaper for the 21st century that is designed for people who have a thirst for information and entertainment in the limited time that they have available” said Andrew Mullins, Managing Director of The Independent.

The bold claim on The Independent’s website is that ‘i doesn’t do information overload’. Of course this is music to my ears – loud music taken in from the front row of Bridgewater Hall.
