Bills and statements
Nobody likes getting them, but almost everyone opens them. Bills and statements are the chance to be nice to your customers at the time they dislike you the most.
Instead of just a demand for money, using bills and statements to tell customers something useful about what they’ve been up to or how you can help them, could make your bills and statements something your customers appreciate – even if it is through gritted teeth.
Whilst British Gas made a big deal over the launch of their bill for dummies* for residential customers, they’ve said a bit less about their new gas bill for business customers (which I worked on as part of a team of three).
