Apart from being amazed by the choreography that must have been involved in creating this, it also occured to me that it’s a good representation of the tactics used in certain areas of advertising, with the passes replaced by the product, and the bear replacing the disclaimers/terms and conditions – you know, the stuff that, if you don’t read it, means you won’t realise you’re signing your life away again.
It shows what you can get away with ‘showing’ people if you ensure they’re focusing their attention elsewhere and you do what you can to recede what you don’t what them to notice. For example, I’m sure the bear would be spotted everytime if it was wearing reflective stripes, or riding a bicycle. But then, as is the serious point of the video, maybe not everytime.
